Welcome to First Kids!
Our First Kids Program is for parents who desire a Christian-centered Wednesday night program for their children. Our First Kids Club and their leaders are high energy and put FUN into learning about God, Jesus, and the Bible. We are open to children who are 3-4 years old and Kindergarten - 5th grade. Children do NOT have to be members of our church to participate.
We BEGIN on Wednesday, Sept 13. We meet regularly on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7pm on our church campus. Parents drop off at our 308 West Fisher Street entrance (5:30pm) and pick up outside of Lewis Hall on West Innes Street (7pm). We have fellowship time and supper from 5:30-6pm. Afterwards from 6-7pm, we split into different age groups (usually) and rotate through different classrooms: Bible class, Music, Recreation, Movie Night, Arts & Crafts. Our First Kids participate in Service Projects, Holiday Celebrations, our Family Christmas Pageant, our Easter Morning Celebrations, and really create super energy for our church and our community. They are a busy busy BUNCH!
Our First Kids Club is led by members of First Presbyterian Church at no cost; however, we do charge $5 to cover the cost of supper, which is always a healthy dinner meal that includes many fruits, vegetables, and children favorites. We do not serve fast food. The total cost is $100.00 per child for the entire year (Sept 2023 - April 2024). There are four options to pay:
1. Pay the complete cost of $100.00 with registration. There are different ways to pay:
Pay online at https://www.easytithe.com/app/giving/fpcsalisbury ,
OR pay in cash or check and drop off by our Church Office (write check to First Presbyterian Salisbury),
OR bring cash or check with you on the first evening of First Kids.
2. Pay $50.00 now with Fall registration and $50.00 (due in January) for Winter/Spring semester. Same options as before...
3. Apply for a First Presbyterian Financial Assistance Scholarship
4. You may pay $5 each time, but if your child attends regularly, it is more cost effective to pay the $100.
If your child is eating beforehand or if they are bringing a bag dinner to fellowship with their friends, no payment is due with this registration.

Jr & 1st Kids Dismissal Request Form
In our continuing efforts to keep children safe, the Christian Education Committee requests that each child’s parent(s) complete the information below concerning their child’s dismissal from First Kids. Children must be picked up by parent(s) or other adults over the age of 18. Please include all names of those who may be picking up your child(ren) REGULARLY from First Kids. We have not had any incidents concerning the dismissal of children, but we certainly would like to avoid any unfortunate occurrences. If you have a quick change for pick up, please call our First Kids Director Robin Fisher at her mobile number (704)662-4665. Thank you!

As Disciples of Christ, dedicated to the nurture of children in
God’s love, we commit to the following:
--To recognize all First Presbyterian Church facilities as part of God’s House and teach this to our children (buildings, grounds, furniture and supplies)
--To assume complete and total responsibility for the actions and behaviors of our own children during any church-sponsored event, either on or off campus (Sunday School, First Kids, Middle School and High School Youth Meetings)
--To accompany/supervise our children at all times when on church grounds until another adult assumes this responsibility
--To agree to respect and respond to direct guidance or requests made by our children’s church leaders/teachers and the group/classroom covenant
--To agree to respect and support other parents at First Presbyterian Church and our parent visitors, as we partner in our commitment to this covenant
